JULY 10, 17, 31 + AUGUST 7, 14, 21 • PORTFOLIO BUILDING FOR TEENS

In this class, teens with a love for visual arts get the opportunity to build a unique body of personal work.

This class is great for those wishing to expand on the artwork done in their high school level classes as well as those preparing to take the AP Studio in Art class. Students will learn how to mount and photograph their work, assemble a portfolio, create an artist statement, take part in critiques, and may take part in a public showing of their artwork.

Students will have access to our stocked studio space, allowing freedom in the production of their in-depth works of art as well as the freedom to explore lots of different media. Students entering an AP course in the Fall may also bring their assigned "summer work" to class. Under instructor guidance, students will hone their existing artistic skills and enhance their understanding of art.

AGES: 13-17 years

EXPERIENCE: All experience levels are welcome!

MATERIALS: Please bring a sketchbook to first session
