MAY 1 + 8 • Fluid Alcohol Ink & Gold Leaf Series with LaCott Fine Art

Explore alcohol ink and its application in a fluid painting style in this TWO-WEEK series.

We will spend Week One discussing Alcohol Ink through practice and play. Students will use inks to create bold, vivid colors in an organic, fluid painting style while experimenting with ink application, blending, and color mixing to create lush backgrounds. We will layer inks and build depth and dimension, focusing on color combinations and their use to define compositional space. Students will learn the foundations of the medium and the tools used to prep, play, and create texture.

In Week Two, students will work with Gold Leaf, Metalic Markers, and more to embellish the painting and bring it to life with gold & silver detailing. This class is perfect for those interested in the medium who want to explore their painting style and the many ways to incorporate mixed mediums into your practice.

AGES: 16 years and up
