"My muse is ingredients that are raw & real. Butter, cream, good chocolate, eggs. I get excited when I see a big pile of cubed butter and think how amazing it is the things we can create with it. Or when my sister gives me some freshly laid eggs from her free-range flock. How cool is it that we can create a lovely meringue from those eggs that turns into our french macarons?! It amazes me the way that beet powder can turn white macaron batter into a beautiful light pink. And I love walking through the farmer’s market in the middle of summer seeing what fruit we can incorporate into our baking for the week."
