SEPTEMBER 26 + OCTOBER 3, 10 • The Basics of Landscape: A Watercolor Series with LaCott Fine Art

Interested in mastering landscape compositions in Watercolor?

This beginner-friendly three-week introductory series will break down the foundational watercolor painting techniques through landscape. We will focus on compositional planning, sketching for shape, shadow, and tone, and the power and mastery of water. As we progress weekly, we will learn to capture detail, depth, and shadow through layering. We will focus on seeing the differences between the two most practiced watercolor techniques and using all of our practice to complete a finished landscape of your design in our final class.

Students will work with class-specific warm-up exercises to emphasize the week's lesson and be used in their everyday watercolor practice to work toward completed pieces at the end of the series!

* Students should bring a reference landscape that inspires them!
