NOVEMBER 8 • Printing w/ Light: Cyanotype Compositions
Create images using cyanotype, a manual photographic printing process used to create print patterns. This process was used for almost 200 years to capture images using sunlight and a photosensitive solution that turns simple fabric into a printable surface so anyone can create original prints with definition and an intense shade of blue. In this class we’ll work with prepared sheets, pressed flowers and a variety of other materials to create botanical-based compositions. While our prints develop, we’ll explore creative exercises and capture different versions of our compositions using other mediums while learning about the history of the art form.
