JULY 13 + 20 • Wild Weaving Series - Weaving outside the Box

A weaving series for those who love color and the unorthodox! Learn to weave and learn to create outside the box.
In the first class students will learn the basic building blocks of weaving, like warping, materials, tools and basic techniques and learn best practices for incorporating foreign objects. Students will learn how to combine basic weaving with untraditional materials like roving, raw and dyed locks and "things that don't belong." In between sessions, they will be encouraged to work independently at home, drawing inspiration from their environment with the class kit including roving, raw and dyed locks.
In our second session, we'll share our progress, and talk about anchoring techniques and finish a one of a kind wall hanging. This is a less structured class and no previous experience is necessary.
Looms will be pre-warped by the instructor. While a discussion of weaving basics is included, this is an experience oriented class, and not intended as a replacement for Learn to Weave instruction. This class will be held outside, weather permitting.
