AUGUST 9, 16, + 23 • Intro to Oil Painting: Still Life

This series will focus on the very basics of oil painting including materials, mediums, brushes, and techniques. Designed for the beginner, this still life class will be step by step and done along with the instructor. We will start with a greyscale underpainting in Week 1, and add color and details in weeks 2 and 3. Finished paintings will be 9x12. All experience levels welcome!

We will use odorless turpenoid and walnut oil to limit strong odors. The paint itself does have an odor and the classroom will be ventilated to accommodate.

AGES: 16 years and up
