Gretchen Meyers is the owner of Makers Buffalo and Pegs hardware. She has been professionally producing jewelry
since 2011. Two years later she opened Makers, a diy workshop for modern craft. Meyers’ has a background in graphic
design and a budding love of textiles.
Jennifer Koury, a watercolorist, delights in the natural world's play of light and color on forms. She derives pleasure from
watercolor's whimsical properties: color bleeding, reticulation and natural paint sediments, allowing her imagination to take
her where she wishes. Koury has enjoyed a rewarding career as a dedicated painter and freelance illustrator. She is
published in both children's and adult based books. A previous finalist in the Chautauqua Annual Exhibition of Contemporary
Art, she has exhibited her paintings both solo and in gallery exhibitions. Her work is featured at George Washington's Mount
Vernon and Yuma Regional Medical Center, Arizona. After graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University in Painting and
Printmaking, Koury continued her studies to graduate from Art Center College of Design, California. She resides with her
family in the Buffalo, New York area, where she is inspired by the natural beauty of Western New York.
With a background in holistic health and yoga, Jen combines her passions with art at MUSEjar. She believes that creative
expression is an important component of ones mental and physical wellbeing. Jen encourages others to create freely and to
do so often! She is fascinated with the creative process and exploring different means of creative expression.
Amber John is the owner of Ink & Matter, a small, locally owned calligraphy and design business specializing in wedding
stationery. She has been practicing pointed pen calligraphy for about 3 years and hand lettering for many more.
Amber lives and works in beautiful Buffalo, NY, where she is constantly finding new hobbies and
skills to integrate into her work.
Ally Demski is the owner of Burn The Grain - a small locally owned home decor and design business. Ally has been wood
burning for approximately 4 years and has a fine art background in painting, video production and graphic design.
She works in advertising and loves the ability to be creative each and every day. She resides in Buffalo and loves to
learn new ways to create.
A full time artist and owner of MUSEjar, Vanessa also finds inspiration and joy in teaching. Art is a language that is often
forgotten about and it's amazing what happens once it's tapped into. Her background is fine art and film production,
with a degree from The University of Vermont.
