Registration for this camp is currently closed!
This camp is held daily from Wednesday, July 10th through Friday, July 12th, 12:30pm to 3:30pm.
Explore color as artists and scientists as we utilize natural items such as food and flowers to create custom dyed fabrics and more. Our focus is to allow children to investigate how plants can create natural pigment and patterns on natural fibers. Focusing on nature and how it provides us with organic art materials that can be made into many different mediums. We will be collecting, forging, playing with petals and getting messy with food as we create a one of a kind masterpiece.
Botanical dye materials include food scraps, herbs, and floral waste.
Please have student provide an all natural fiber (100% cotton, silk, linen) t-shirt to bundle dye on the first day of class. The item will have to be prepared in order to be used the following day.
Ages: 12 years and up
