This camp is held daily from Wednesday, July 10th through Friday, July 12th, 9:00am to 12:00pm.
Experience Fiber Arts in this three-day camp! We will be working with multiple fiber mediums to spark a new appreciation for the art through education while inspiring and empowering a new generation of makers. We will be focusing on weaving and tapestry on a small loom, explore Felting and the fun way to transform plain sheep's wool into something amazing, with both traditional wet felting and Nuno needle felting techniques.
Ages: 12 years and up
Materials: The registration fee for this camp includes all instruction, equipment use during camp, and materials for 3 days of sessions, where we will explore different techniques together and work on projects that you will take home with you at the end of the camp. Registration also includes a daily snack and a camp bag.
Instructor: Tami Fuller-Selph of Blubird Studio
Tami is a modern fiber artist, whose work merges traditional foundations with today’s textured techniques, and vibrant colorwork. She enjoys working with multiple fiber media, and is passionate about revitalizing and sparking a new appreciation for the fiber arts through education, and inspiring and empowering a new generation of makers. She is known for Collaborweave, an interactive weaving project which encourages community participation and creative collaboration, and her work has received awards from NY Sheep and Wool.
