AUGUST 23 • Sketching in Watercolor with LaCott Fine Art
Join us as we explore one of expressive Watercolor's best practices, sketching!
In this class, we capture the world around us through expressive and gestural watercolor sketches and drawings. This practice is excellent for those students looking to build on the foundational understanding of Watercolor to compose a collection of gestural and textural representations of life from their travels or preparation for a larger body of work. Our focus will be on capturing the essence of our subject with a quick gestural sketch, building the base of our shapes with our brush, and delicate finishing details to bring our topic to life.
Students are required to bring a reference image of something they would like to sketch, such as a travel photo or natural scene, a floral arrangement, etc.
