APRIL 10, 17 + 24 • Beginner's Dye and Weave

Take a step back in the creating process and learn to dye your own fibers before weaving a hip little wall hanging. First learn all about acid dyes, the dyeing process, and how to mix it up to create unique colors on wool yarn and roving. Then put them to work as we learn the basics of tapestry weaving for a one-of-a-kind wall hanging.

*Dyeing can be hot and wet, so please dress accordingly!

Amanda Hartrich is an artist based just outside of East Aurora. She has raised sheep, written and designed for PLY magazine, taught art, knitting, crochet, spinning, dyeing, and weaving for more than 18 years. She loves creating in a range of mediums and cheering others on as they continue on their artistic journey.
