Dip into modern fiber arts by exploring natural mixed media materials, including dyed wool, raw silk, bamboo, embroidery thread, lace, and dried botanicals. You'll learn how to "painting" using needle felt technique, and create small scale wearable fiber art.

AGES: 18 years and up

EXPERIENCE: Beginner

MATERIALS: All supplies are included. Supplies include materials for one necklace.

INSTRUCTOR: Tami Selph of Blubird Studio

Tami is a modern fiber artist, whose work merges traditional foundations with today’s textured techniques, and vibrant colorwork.  She enjoys working with multiple fiber media, and is passionate about revitalizing and sparking new appreciation for the fiber arts through education, and inspiring and empowering a new generation of makers.  She is known for Collaborweave, an interactive weaving project which encourages community participation and creative collaboration, and her work has received awards from NY Sheep and Wool.
