MUSEjar is headed to the Power Yoga Buffalo Studio where we will combine two very artful practices, yoga and mala making. With a 45min yoga practice and a 1 hour mala making class, there is no better way to enjoy your Sunday afternoon. Everything you need to enhance your mind, body, and soul in one spot!
A Japa Mala or Mala is a set of beads commonly used by Hindus and Buddhists. Malas are used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity. This practice is known in Sanskritas japa. We will be showing you how to create your very own Mala Necklace, complete with the traditional wood beads, semi precious stone marker beads and tassel.
