This is a three session series. Classes start on September 6th and are held three consecutive Thursdays, September 6th, 13th, & 20th.
The sky shows it's beautiful face in many different ways and colors. Choose one to paint that inspires you the most. In this painting series you will be using acrylic paints on a wood panel, an approach that lends itself wonderfully to painting skies. You will learn about color mixing, color blocking, perspective, proportions, and brush techniques. You will also learn techniques specific to creating a clouds and conveying light. Classes are kept small, so you get individual attention from the instructor.
Ages: 16 years and up - no experience necessary!
Materials: All supplies are included. Please bring a few printed references to choose from if you're not choosing from ours.
Instructor: Vanessa Frost
As a full-time artist and owner of MUSEjar, Vanessa finds inspiration and joy in teaching art. Art is a language that is often forgotten about and it's amazing what happens once it's tapped into. Her background is fine art and film production, with a degree from The University of Vermont. She loves mixed media and currently works mainly with acrylics, but she is constantly exploring and experimenting with all other mediums.
NOTE: All classes require a minimum number of students to run. Please sign up in advance to help avoid cancellation due to low registration. In the case of a cancellation, you will be notified prior and receive a full refund. Please read our class policies.
