Get a taste for the art of weaving, bite sized and hand held. This low impact, easy beginner's course catches the taste of the basics of weaving, with a low commitment price point. Explore the fascinating art of tapestry by learning to weave a mini tapestry jewelry piece, just in time for warmer weather accessorizing. Students will learn how to warp a handheld palm loom, design a visually pleasing palette with a quick dip into basic color theory and weave a wearable tapestry necklace in time allotted. All materials and hardware provided. Loom and instructional booklet are yours to keep for independent play.
Ages: Most suitable for adults of all ages - no experience necessary!

Instructor: Tami Selph of Blubird Studio
Tami is a modern fiber artist, whose work merges traditional foundations with today’s textured techniques, and vibrant colorwork. She enjoys working with multiple fiber media, and is passionate about revitalizing and sparking new appreciation for the fiber arts through education, and inspiring and empowering a new generation of makers. She is known for Collaborweave, an interactive weaving project which encourages community participation and creative collaboration, and her work has received awards from NY Sheep and Wool.
