JULY 22 - 26 • CLAY INTENSIVE CAMP

 


This camp is perfect for those interested in completely diving into the world of all things clay and pottery! We will focus on wheel throwing techniques, including trimming and adding handles, etc. as well as explore a variety of surface design methods from sgraffito to glaze layering. We will also learn how to load and unload the kiln. Students will really have the time to hone their skills and create a body of work that speaks to their developing personal style as a young artist!

AGES: 12-17 years old

EXPERIENCE: All experience levels are welcome!

MATERIALS: Everything is included

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: 

  • Please wear comfortable, closed toe shoes.
  • The pottery studio is MESSY. We have aprons, but please wear clothes that can get dirty.
  • If you have long hair, you must tie it back. 
  • No long finger nails
  • Bring a water bottle and a packed lunch/snacks each day!

 TIME AND LOCATIONS: Drop off and pick up will be at MUSEjar each day. 

10AM-2PM each day!

CLASS POLICY: 

In the event you need to cancel a class, you must cancel a minimum of two days (48 Hours) prior to the class date in order to receive a refund or transfer credit.

No refunds or transfers will be made on the day of the class or after the class has started for any reason. This is because our teachers purchase materials and plan for their classes based on the number of students registered.

However, if you’d like to offer your seat in that class to a friend or family member, we’d be happy to let them take your seat. We ask that you please call us ahead of time or email us at hello@musejar.com by noon on the day of the class to let us know.

*If you are a pottery student and you miss your glazing session, we will dip your pieces in white glaze and fire with the rest of the class.
