AUGUST 11 • Natural Dyeing: Queen Anne's Lace Pillow Covers

Queen Anne’s Lace makes a beautiful natural yellow dye, perfect for a new summer throw pillow! In this class we’ll learn about mordanting our fabric, creating a dye bath, experimenting with resists, and dyeing throw pillow covers. Dyeing equipment and supplies will be provided including (2) 18x18” pillow covers.

However, each student is asked to bring in as much Queen Anne’s Lace as possible. You only need bring in the flower heads. The instructor will also harvest, but the more we have, the more vibrant the color!

The pictured yarn is an example of the color we can achieve.
