MAY 29 • Dye Night: Yarn Dyeing Basics
Watch magic happen in the pot as you dye your very own yarn with professional-grade acid dyes. This evening is designed to introduce the novice to the basics of dyeing yarn but also give experienced dyers a chance to play without messing up their kitchen. The instructor will demonstrate space dyeing and gradient dyeing before you jump into working with your own yarn. Each student will get four mini-skeins to work with: 80 yds of chunky-weight wool each. Together, it’s enough for a small knit, crochet, or weaving project.
